Creative Arts
The word "Art" has two different meaning in Australian academic discipline. In the first category, the word "Art" may refer to fields of: writing, journalism, communication and media. In the second category, also known as " Creative Arts", refers to performing arts like, cinema, theater, visual arts, animation and etc. Different types of peforming arts are offered at various levels of education in Australia. Admission to these courses are not always easy. In fact, admissions are obtained in two stages. The academic and practical (portfolio) performances of applicants are examined in two stages. Portfolio plays an important role in acceptance of the applicants, as it is key feature to distinguish one applicant from another. Therefore, students must be very selective and careful in choosing their portfolio. They may submit their work through CD or paper.
Each university has its own criteria to evaluate the student's Portfolio.
