Perth is the capital of Western Australia and largest city of the Australian State. It is the 4^th most populous city of the country with an estimated population of 2.02 million residents. The city is located on the Swan River, where the first areas were settled. Perth came 8^th in the Economist Intelligence Unit’s August 2015 list of the World’s most livable cities. It has a temperate climate with hot and dry summers that reach maximum of 30 degrees, and rainy winters of -7 degrees.  

Perth dominates the industrial sector of the Western Australian economy in major mining, petroleum and agricultural export industries.
