Associate Degree
There are not that many two years programs in Australia. Hence, the qualification offered is lower than the undergraduate’s degree and is called “Associate Degree”. These courses are usually studied as prerequisites for the chosen program. However these courses are not offered by all the universities in Australia. Iranian students that have been awarded an Associate degree from Iranian universities could apply for Bachelor’s degree in Australia. In fact, it is very rare for students to apply from associated to bachelor degree. Since the numbers of credits passed is high for an associated degree in Iran, students may have them assessed against Australian educational standards and count them towards their degree. However the average marking pass of each course should be above 18/20 on the marking scale. It is very difficult and complicated to have these credits measured and as a result, a very few universities carry out this process.
Tuition fees
The tuition fee of associated degree may vary between AU$ 15,000-25,000 depending on the university.
The costs of living in Australia is approximately AU$ 18,000 per year, as a student.
