After all, these expenses may differ depending on the life style of each person. Students that wish to travel to Australia to study with their family are required to provide additional financial support of AU$9,000 for their spouse and AU$6,000 for each child.

Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC)

As you know, students are required to be insured by the educational centers.  The insurance will costs AU$ 2,000 for an individual and AU$ 4,000 for a family. Please note this is a mandatory payment and cannot be eliminated from your expenses, as you need to be insured before entering the Australian territory.  Insurance must cover the health expenses for the duration of your stay.

 

Tuition fees

International students are asked to pay their tuition fees before start of each semester. In some educational institutions students may be required to make additional payment, to have access to other facilities, such as library, laboratory, sports facilities and etc.  Students may need to pay for their architectural tools 0 and photographic equipment’s as these are personal and specific to their chosen field of studies. The cost of studying in Australia

  • Public schools: AU$ 10,000-18,000 a year
  • Private schools: AU$ 17,000-60,000 a year

  • University- Undergraduate’s program (duration of the program may be from 2/5-5 years), postgraduate’s program (duration of the program may be from 1-3 years), and Doctorate’s program (duration of the program may be from 2/5-5years): AU$ 18,000-35,000 a year.
  • Medicine and dentistry programs (duration of the programs may be from 4-7 years): AU$ 35,000-60,000 a year
  •  English Language Courses: AU$ 300-400 a week
  • Living Costs: AU$18,610 a year

 

Almost all of the universities in Australia provide accommodations for their students.
