Griffith University located in south East Queensland State was established in 1971. Compared to other Australian universities Griffith has had rapid progression and is constantly growing. Griffith has over 44,000 students enrolled in undergraduate, postgraduate and research degrees, and has been marked as 9th largest university of Australia. There are over 8,000 international students that have come together from 130 different countries to study for higher education in this University.

Griffith University has always been influential on Pacific Rim, as it was the first Australian university to offer “Bachelor of Asian Studies”. Griffith has five campuses across three cities, Brisbane, Logan and Gold Coast.  Nathan and Mount Gravatt campuses are only 10 min drive away from each other and are both located in Brisbane.

 

The University has 38 centres and institutes, investigating various areas, like water science, climate change adaptation, sustainable tourism and health and chronic disease and more.

 

Ranking:

In 2015/2016 QS University ranking placed Griffith University as 37th place for top young universities of under 50 years old, and 82nd in the 2015 Times Higher Education Top 100 under 50.

There are over 100 clubs and facilities on campus.  Some of the most important ones are Judo club (the first established judo club in Brisbane) and Rugby club, that stands among top 6 clubs of Australia.
