Flinders University
Flinders University was founded as a public university in 1966, at Adelaide, South Australia. Today, the University has over 16,600 enrolled students and 1800 working staff. Over 3,100 of the students are international that have come from 100 different backgrounds. Flinders University is a member of the Innovative Research Universities (IRU) Group. Each year, AU$9 million is invested on research studies carried out by the four faculties of the University.

The University has many teams that compete in social and competitive competitions. It also fields a baseball side in the Division 5 and 6 levels of the South Australia Baseball League.
Rankings:
Flinders’ facilities of medicine and the humanities are ranked among the nation’s top 10. In addition, according to Academic Ranking of World Universities, Flinders is ranked amongst the World’s top 400 institutions. Times Higher Education rankings of the world’s top universities ranks Flinders University in the 251 to 300 bracket.
