University of Wollongong
University of Wollongong (UOW) is located in Wollongong in New South Wales is located at 80 kilometers south of Sydney. University was founded in 1951. Currently, UOW has more than 26,000 students and about 1,800 employees with more than 10,000 foreign students.
A key part of the University’s strategic agenda is research; hence their research programs are conducted through more than 8 research institutes. The Information & Communication Technology (ICT) Research Institute of the University is the largest Information Technology (IT) center in the Southern Hemisphere. Some of the most important research themes of the University include: Communication and Wireless Technology, Computer and Information Security, Multimedia and Information Processing, Chronic Conditions and Lifestyle, Diagnostics and Therapeutics, and Mental Health and the Ageing Brain.
The University of Wollongong has six campuses across New South Wales and one offshore (Dubai). Wollongong Campus is the main campus of the University, located on the New South Wales coast, 3 km from the Centre of Wollongong and 80 km from the South of Sydney. It is more than 84 hectares in area with a number of facilities and buildings.
University of Wollongong Dubai campus was first established in 1933, marking it as one of the United Arab Emirates’ oldest and most prestigious universities. The campus has around 3500 enrolled students from 100 countries.

UOW ranks among the top 2% universities in the world. In 2015, Times Higher Education ranked UOW as 31st among top 100 under 50 World University Rankings, and has been placed 243rd by QS World University Rankings. In addition, the University has been rated 5 Stars for Excellence.
