Queensland University of Technology (QUT) founded in 1989 as a public research university located in the urban coastal city of Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. The university has approximately 35,000 undergraduate students and 5,000 post graduate students, of which 6,000 are international students. It has over 4 000 staff members, and an annual budget of more than AU$750 million. QUT is a member of Australian Technology Network of Universities (ATN). Members of this organization offer applied courses to students in the field of research and studies of Technology.

QUT graduates have higher salary on their first job, than the average rate of Australia.

 

Campuses:

QUT has three campuses; each is a micro-community, with on-campus academic, recreational, and support facilities. Gardens Point campus is located in Brisbane City centre, besides the Brisbane River. The campus is adjacent to the City Botanic Gardens and Queensland Parliament House. Gardens Theatre and QUT Art Museum are located within this campus.

 

Rankings:

QUT ranks within the top 10 Australian universities and the upper 3 per cent world-wide. QUT has been ranked as Australia's best university under 50 years of age by the Times Higher Education Top 100, and ranks 26th globally in that category.
