University of Technology Sydney (UTS) was founded in 1988 in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. The origin of the University trace back to 1870s, as it was a part of the Australian Technology Network of universities. In 2008, the University celebrated its 20th anniversary. UTS have 4 campuses that are located Suburb and metropolitan areas of the Sydney, providing all the facilities and services required for students and staff, similar to a small modern town.
UTS is a member of Australian Technology Network (ATN), with over 37,600 enrolled students in undergraduate and postgraduate levels and 3,110 administrative staff.
UTS is one of the leading universities in fields of research and innovation. Some of these research themes are: Future services, industries and productivity, Communication and intelligent systems Health futures, Sustainability and the build environment, Creative industries and civil societies, Business innovation, Centre for Compassionate Conservation.
Rankings:
UTS was one of four non-Group of Eight universities ranked in the top 100 universities in the world in particular discipline areas. The Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2014–15 ranked UTS 95th in the world in Engineering and Technology.
