Australian Capital Territory (ACT) is a territory located in the south east of Australia, and entirely surrounded by the territory of New South Wales. Canberra is the capital of Australia and most populous community in Australian Capital Territory.

 

The highest point of this territory is Bimberi Peak with the altitude of 1,912m and Murrumbidge River has the lowest point of 429m. ACT has a population of 385,600. The climate of this state is quite different from the others. Summers in Canberra are usually hot and warm, and winters are cold associated with fog and frosts. On higher mountains in the territory are snow covered during the winters. And from October to March the Territory faces thunderstorms. Hence, the annual rainfall is 623 mm.
