Central Queensland University
Central Queensland University offers international students of different levels AU$ 1.5 million worth of scholarships.
A list of these scholarships can be found below:
· Vice-Chancellor’s Scholarship: is offered to international students of undergraduate or postgraduate levels. It offers 20% tuition reduction during the applicants’ course of studies.
· Australian Government Scholarships:
There are a number of programs funded by the Australian Government for international students. They are as:
· Australian Awards Scholarships (AAS): the financial aid is awarded to international students that have are in long term development needs of Australia’s partner countries in line with bilateral and regional agreement. The length of Scholarship is for the minimum period necessary for the applicant to complete his/her academic program.
· Endeavor Awards: This is a merit-based scholarship offered by the Australian Government that supports citizens of the Asia-Pacific, Europe, Middle East and Americas. The length of Scholarship various.
· Australian Postgraduate Award (APA): provides financial support to postgraduates research students that undertake their higher degree by research (HDR) at an eligible Australian university. The duration of scholarship is for a period of two- three years.
· International Postgraduate Research Scholarship (IPPS): is open to international students of all countries (excluding New Zealand) for their duration of their research master research doctorate degrees. The duration of this Scholarship covers two-three years. The fund covers the tuition fees and health cover costs of the scholarship holder and health cover costs of their dependents. A total 330 IPRS are awarded each year costing AU$20M per annum.
· External Organisation Scholarships: externally funded scholarships are available for international students of specific study areas, continuing into their second or third year of studies.
