University of Southern Queensland (USQ) offers a variety of scholarships and bursaries in all study areas. Although each has their own eligibility requirements, each student has a high chance of finding a suitable award.
Australia Award Scholarships: are governmental financial aids for international students that seek an opportunity to undertake study, research and professional development in Australia. The budget for these scholarships for academic years 2015/2016 it has been estimated to be AU$360 million.
USQ Shine Bursary: each year a maximum value of AU$ 500 would be awarded to two female undergraduates and postgraduates in any field of study.
International Postgraduate Research Scholarship: USQ offers a number of scholarships for international students undertaking the Doctoral of Philosophy PhD in variety of majors. The value of the Scholarships can reach up to AU$30,000 per year for the period of research course. The Scholarship covers the costs of six semesters, overseas students Health Cover including their applicants’ dependent families. However eligible applicants must meet the entry requirements, demonstrate outstanding research potential and academic records.
Toowoomba Garden City Zonta Club Bursary: the financial aid will have a maximum value of AU$ 1,000 to be paid to an international female student enrolled in any undergraduate degree of Toowoomba campus.
USQ International Partner Prizes: a prize of AU$500 would be awarded to a high performing student.
USQ KickStart and KickOn Bursaries – New Zealand and Pasifika Students: a New Zealand citizen or Pacific Island descent can be awarded of maximum bursary of AU$ 2,000 value.
Vice-Chancellor’s International Postgraduate Scholarships: the award is only available for international students that hold a student visa intending to study a postgraduate degree by coursework. The recipient should have an excellence grade point and enrolled on campus. The scholarship has a maximum value of AU$ 5,000 that contributes towards the applicant’s tuition fees.
