University of Western Sydney offers a number of scholarships. Blow a list of Scholarships offered by the University can be found for international students.

Undergraduate

Western Sydney University Scholarships

·         Vice-Chancellor’s Academic Excellence Undergraduate Scholarships: covers 50% of the costs of tuitions fees for three years. This is available for eligible international applicants.

 

·         Western Sydney International Scholarships – Undergraduate: the award contributes a specific amount to the costs of tuition fees and will increase annually over the duration of the degree.

 

Western Sydney University Joint Scholarships

·   Western Sydney University and Vietnam International Education Development (VIED) Coursework Scholarship: This is only available for Citizens of Vietnam studying in Australia on Student visa.

 

External Scholarships:

·         Australia Awards Scholarships: is an international scholarship funded by Australian Government for partner countries, in line with bilateral and regional agreements. The financial aid provides the students with the opportunity to study in Australia to build the skills and knowledge to promote development in their home country.

 

Postgraduate

Western Sydney University Scholarships

·       Vice- Chancellor’s Academic Excellence Postgraduate Scholarships: covers 50% of the costs of tuitions fees for three years. This is available for eligible international applicants.  

 

·         International Academic Excellence Postgraduate Scholarships: an amount of AU$5,000 granted to recipients towards tuition fees in the first year of a range of postgraduate programs.

 

·         Western Sydney International Scholarships- Postgraduate: the award contributes a specific amount to the costs of tuition fees and will increase annually over the duration of the degree.

 

Western Sydney University Joint Scholarships

·     Western Sydney University and Vietnam International Education Development (VIED) Coursework Scholarship: This is only available for Citizens of Vietnam studying in Australia on Student visa.

 

External Scholarships

·         Australia Awards Scholarship: is an international scholarship funded by Australian Government for partner countries, in line with bilateral and regional agreements. The financial aid provides the students with the opportunity to study in Australia to build the skills and knowledge to promote development in their home country.  

 

·         Australian Centre for International Agriculture Research (ACIAR) - John Allwright Fellowship: the award covers a full tuition fee, return travel, establishment allowances, contribution to living Expenses (CLE), oversears Student Health Cover (OSHC), Introductory Academic Program (IAP), Supplementary Academic Support, air tickets for field trip (for research students only). Applicants of partner country scientists have the opportunity to benefit from this award to collaborate with research projects of the University’s’ to obtain postgraduate qualification at the Master of Doctoral level, at Australian territory institutions.   

 

·         Research

UWS Joint Scholarship

·         University of Western Sydney (UWS) and Vietnam International Education Development (VIED) Research Scholarship: This is only available for Citizens of Vietnam studying in Australia on Student visa.

 

·         China Scholarship Council (CSC) Research Scholarship: This is only available for Citizens of China studying in Australia on Student visa.

 

Graduate Research School Scholarships

·         UWS Postgraduate Research Awards (UWSPRA): an amount of AU$ 25,329 per annum for up to 3 years for doctoral level study and 2 years for Masters Honours are awarded as living allowances to eligible applicants.

 

·      International Postgraduate Research Scholarships (IPRS): the award covers a full tution fees for ful time study towards higher degree by research. The Scholarship covers the full costs of tuition fees and overseas student health cover. It provides a living allowance of AU$ 25, 392 per annum.  

 

·         Project Scholarships: these awards are offered by the University to support higher degree students in undertaking their research.

 

Other Scholarships

There are a number of organisations that offer scholarships to international students.
