The University of Newcastle Australia offers a number of scholarships for international students. Below are the lists of scholarships available for specific international students:

· Kurdistan's Regional Government (KRG) Human Capacity Development Program in Higher Education (HCDP) for Kurdish students
· Kuwait's Ministry of Education Scholarships for Kuwaiti students
· Malaysia's Ministry of Higher Education (MOHE) Scholarships for Malaysian students
· Thailand's Office of the Civil Service Commission (OCSC) Scholarships for Thai students
· Thailand's Ministry of Education and Training (MOET) Scholarships for Thai students

However only a few numbers of scholarships are available for Iranian students, which are:
· University of Newcastle International Postgraduate Research Scholarships (UNIPRS): a range of scholarships are offered to PhD and Research Masters candidates for duration of their course. The award provides an annual living allowance of AU$26,288 per annum including relocation allowance (up to AU$2,020), a thesis allowance (up to AU$ 500), a full tuition fee scholarship and overseas student health cover (OSHC). The grant is awarded based on academic merit including the recipient’s undergraduate’s average grade and extra research attainments.
· University of Newcastle Postgraduate Research Scholarship (UNRS External): a range of scholarships are offered to PhD and Research Masters candidates for duration of their course. The award provides an annual living allowance of AU$26,288 per annum including relocation allowance (up to AU$2,020), a thesis allowance (up to AU$ 500), a full tuition fee scholarship and overseas student health cover (OSHC). The grant is awarded based on academic merit including the recipient’s undergraduate’s average grade. In addition there are other factors to be considered to be eligible for apply.
