University of Wollongong (UOW), offers a number of scholarships and awards to international students. 

UNDERGRADUATE SCHOLARSHIPS

 

·         Undergraduate Excellence Scholarships (UES): 25% reduction in tuition fees are offered to international students for duration of 4 years.. The offer is open to students enrolled in Bachelor degrees at UOW (Australian campuses only) except for the following: Medicine & Surgery; Nursing; Science (Nutrition or Exercise Science); Nutrition & Dietetics; Exercise Science & Rehabilitation; Social Work; and Psychology (all degrees).

 

·          Faculty Merit Scholarships: 25% reduction in tuition fees for international students bringing the total value of 50% in combination with UES. It applies to the same categories of courses outlined above for outstanding international students. In addition recipients of this scholarship will benefit from a number of allowances such as: AU$500 Textbook allowances a year, Pairing with an academic mentor, Special workshop and seminars and extended library privilege and designated for study space.

 

·         UOW Bradman Foundation Scholarship for students from India: this is open to one Indian student each year.  The scholarship is granted for the duration of recipient’s undergraduate program.

 

POSTGRADUATE COURSEWORK SCHOLARSHIPS

·         2016 Sydney Campus International Student Bursaries: the bursary is available to any international students enrolled for the first time at the University of Wollongong. The award is only offered for eligible courses and subjects undertaken at the Sydney CBD campus. The value of the bursary is equivalent to 16-16% deduction of the recipients’ tuition fee on the full duration of the undertaking course.

 

·         Sydney Business School Partial Tuition Scholarship: 25% reduction in tuition fees is offered to international students enrolled for their first course at UOW’s Sydney Business School.

 

·         UOW International Graduate Excellence Scholarships: the scholarship is open to outstanding international students achieving high standards of performance in their Bachelor degree with a scholarship towards a Master degree at UOW.  Hence, it provides the recipients 10% discount in tuition fees for duration of their course.

 

·         Faculty of Engineering and Information Sciences Postgraduate Coursework Scholarship:  available for students from India and Vietnam.

 

RESEARCH

·         Research Scholarship Opportunities:  the University offers a variety of scholarships and awards to international students of higher degree by research. Eligible recipients will be awarded allowances to assist them in meeting their living costs while studying at UOW. These awards cover the annual stipends, living expenses and tuition fees costs.

 

AUSTRALIAN GOVERNMENT SCHOLARSHIPS

·         Australia Award Scholarships: these are Australian Government funded scholarships for eligible international students of specific countries, to encourage them to undertake their higher educations in Australia.

·         Endeavour Scholarships

 

OTHER

·         Scholarships funded by international agencies, organisations and governments:  These scholarships are funded by home government and international agencies, foundations and corporation, to partially of fully fund the recipients studies. 

·         English Language, Foundation Studies and Diploma scholarships: offered by UOW College to students of selected countries.
