Queensland University of Technology (QUT) offers a wide range of scholarships for domestic and international students. Hence, below a list of scholarships can be found that are for eligible international students enrolled at Queensland University of Technology.
· Vice-Chancellor’s Scholarship (Academic): this is open to international students that have completed their high school in Australia. The scholarship is worth AU$30,000 in value and is paid for up to 4 years.
· Vice-Chancellor’s Scholarship (Creative Industries): the scholarship is open to two highest achieving students in the Faculty of Creative Industries. The award is AU$10,000 in value.
· Equity scholarships scheme: the scholarship is open to any student that has financial difficulties. An eligible international student can receive an Equity Bursary of up to AU$1,500 for one year.
· Merit Plus Scholarship – Malaysian Student: The scholarship is only open to Malaysian Citizen students and can receive up to 25% reduction in their tuition fees for their first semester of studies at QUT.
· PRONABEC Scholarship: postgraduate international students of research or coursework program may be eligible for this Scholarship. However, eligible recipient must be Peruvian Citizen to be able to receive full tuition costs scholarship, including financial aids.
· Merit Plus Scholarship – Singaporean students: The scholarship is only open to Sri Lankan Citizen students and can receive up to 25% reduction in their tuition fees for their first semester of studies at QUT.
· Endeavour Postgraduate Scholarships: these are Australian Government funded scholarship and fellowship for international students of Asia Pacific, Middle East, Europe and the Americas to undertake their studies, researches and professional development programs in Australia. They are measured against academic performances of the eligible recipients. Eligible students are required to be enrolled in Business, Creative Industries, Education, Health, Law, Science and Engineering, Institute of Health and Biomedical Innovation (IHIB) or Institute for Future Environments.
· MBA Scholarship: the scholarship is open to future postgraduate students willing to study Business as a Postgraduate Coursework Program. The scholarship is awarded based on academic performances of the applicants. In addition, the eligible student will receive a quarter, half or full –fee waiver and a merit scholarship (The award ranges between AU$500-AU$1,000 according to the recipients GMAT Score and academic records). Applicants must be applying to study with the Graduate School of Business for the first time and have accepted the offer of Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University.
· Merit Plus Scholarship – Sri Lankan students: The scholarship is only open to Singaporean Citizen students and can receive up to 25% reduction in their tuition fees for their first semester of studies at QUT.
· QUT Real World Scholarship (Science and Engineering): the scholarship is open to future international undergraduate students willing to enroll in Faculty of Science and Engineering. Eligible recipients are required to have completed their high school in Australia with high academic records. As a result, students that are applying for one of the Bachelor of Engineering Honours), Bachelor of Information Technology or Bachelor of Science may be eligible to be awarded AU$3,000 worth in scholarship.
· Australian Government Scholarship (Australia Awards): these scholarships are funded by Australian Government to encourage international students to undertake their studies and researches in Australia. The awards are available to international students of specific countries.
· MS Research Australia Scholarship: the award is open to students that have experience in research that is advancing in the knowledge of MS, or be interested in researching in this field.
· Short Term Overseas Study Program: the scholarship is open to current international students of the University at Undergraduate or Postgraduate level. Eligible recipients are required to be enrolled in Faculty of Business and meet the minimum GPA requirements. The value of the scholarship varies between years, the previous year recipients received scholarships ranged from AU$1000-AU$2000. The award can be used to cover any expenses on the recipient’s short term study program abroad. The applicant must demonstrate evidence of eligibility to cover any other costs in relation to travel and living expenses while on exchange program.
· QUT/ Royal Civil Service Commission Scholarship: this is a full scholarship and financial aid available only for eligible Bhutanese students.
· Radio 4EB. FM Ethnic Scholarship: an amount of AU$5,000 scholarship is available to eligible applicants that are studying, or planning to stud for journalism.
· QUT Real World Scholarship (Health): the award is open to international students that have completed their high school in Australia. Eligible applicants are required to be studying for the Bachelor of Nursing or Bachelor of Pharmacy (Honours), and will receive scholarships worth of AU$3,000. Eligible recipients will receive an amount of AU$ 2,000 scholarship, if are enrolled for Bachelor of Behaivoural Science or Bachelor of Nursing/Bachelor of Behavioural Science.
· QUT Real World Scholarship (Business): International students that have completed their high school in Australia may be eligible to apply for this award. The scholarship covers 25% of the first two semesters of the recipients’ tuition fees for one year. This is a merit based scholarship awarded to high standing international students.
· Badge Scholarship: current international undergraduate students of Faculty of Science and Engineering may be eligible to apply for this scholarship. Applicants are required to be entering their second or forth, years of their fulltime study in one of the programs: Bachelor of Urban Development (Construction Management) or Bachelor of Urban Development (Quantity Surveying). As a result eligible recipient will be awarded a scholarship of AU$ 6,000 in value for one year paid as a stud stipend. In addition will receive possible work placement during their studies and networking opportunities.
· Science without Borders Scholarship: the award is only open for Brazilian students that wish to undertake studies in Science and Engineering, Health or Creative Industries on Study Abroad.
· Student Exchange Scholarship (Science and Technology): current international students of postgraduate and undergraduate enrolled in Faculty of Science and Engineering may be eligible to apply for this scholarship. The value of the scholarship varies between years, the previous year recipients received scholarships ranged from AU2000-AU$2500. Although extra funding may be available for specific destinations. The award can be used to cover any expenses on the recipient’s short term study program abroad. The applicant must demonstrate evidence of eligibility to cover any other costs in relation to travel and living expenses while on exchange program.
· Faculty of Education International Student Scholarship: the scholarship is open to future international students of undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Eligible applicants are required to be enrolled in Faculty of Education undergraduate or postgraduate coursework degree. An amount of AU$2,000 worth of scholarship will be contributed towards the first semester of the eligible recipients.
· Hong Kong Student Scholarships: the award is open to eligible Hong Kong students enrolled in Faculties of Business, Creative Industries or Science and Engineering.
· Kellie van Meurs Memorial Scholarship in Creative Writing: the scholarship is open to current international students of undergraduate level. Eligible applicants must demonstrate evidence of financial disadvantage and be enrolled in Faculty of Creative Industries. In addition the eligible international student is required to have completed his/her high school in Australia, in order to be awarded an amount of AU$3,500 for one year paid in semester 1.
· Triple Crown Scholarship: 25% discount in tuition fees for the first two semester of one year will be awarded to eligible applicants. Future international students may be eligible to apply for this scholarship if they wish to undertake their studies in the field of Business. Eligible recipient must have completed his/her previous studies outside Australia with high achieving academic records. Besides, the recipient must have a minimum of IELTS 6.5 score
· Students Exchange Scholarship (QUT Business School): current international students of postgraduate and undergraduate enrolled in Faculty of Business may be eligible to apply for this scholarship. The value of the scholarship varies between years, the previous year recipients received scholarships ranged from AU2000-AU$2500. Although extra funding may be available for specific destinations. The award can be used to cover any expenses on the recipient’s short term study program abroad. The applicant must demonstrate evidence of eligibility to cover any other costs in relation to travel and living expenses while on exchange program.
· International Merit Scholarship: this is a merit based scholarship awarded to future international students of QUT at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Eligible applicants are required to be undertaking their studies under the Faculty of Science and Engineering. Applications are reviewed based on academic performances of the applicants and their English Language proficiency tests will be taken into consideration. Eligible recipients will be awarded 25% discount in their tuition fees for their first semester of studies at QUT.
· John Mansfield Memorial Scholarship in Excellence in Advertising: an amount of AU$ 5,000 worth of scholarship will be awarded to eligible recipients to cover the costs of educational expenses for one year of study. The award is open to current international students of QUT enrolled in the Bachelor of Business, Bachelor of Mass Communication, or a double degree in Business with advertising major. The eligibility of applicants will be evaluated based on academic performances.
· International Merit Double Degree Scholarship: 25% discount in tuition fees for the first two semester of one year will be awarded to eligible applicants. Future international students may be eligible to apply for this scholarship if they wish to undertake their studies in the field of Business. Eligible recipient must have completed his/her previous studies outside Australia with high achieving academic records. Besides, the recipient must have a minimum of IELTS 6.5 score.
· Creative Industries International Scholarship: The scholarship is open to future international students at undergraduate or postgraduate levels. The award is measured based on the academic performances of the applicants. Eligible applicants will be awarded 25% discount in tuition fees for the first two semester of one year. Hence, recipients are required to be enrolled under Faculty of Creative Arts. Applicants must demonstrate evidence of completion of previous qualifying course from any country outside Australia with an IELTS of 6.5 or equivalent.
· Su Mon Wong Scholarship for Excellence in Marketing: current international students of undergraduate or postgraduate levels may be eligible to be awarded AU$10,000 scholarship to be contributed towards the costs of educational expenses in the final year of the recipients. Eligible recipients are required to be enrolled in in a full time degree course in QUT Business School with merit academic records.
