Deakin University
Deakin University offers a range of scholarships for international students of undergraduate and postgraduate levels. A list of these scholarships can be found below:
· Deakin International Scholarship:Prospective international students may be eligible to be awarded 25% award contributed towards tuition fees for the normal duration of the recipient’s course. It is a competitive scholarship awarded to a fix number of scholars with high achieving academic records in their previous studies. Students are required to provide evidence of high academic performance with the potential to make a leading contribution to the University and its communities.
· Deakin Vice-Chancellor’s International Scholarship: The scholarship is open for normal duration of the course of eligible international student. This is a merit based scholarship covering 50-100% tuition fees of the recipient. In addition recipients will receive book vouchers and priority place in on campus accommodations. The award is for prospective international students that have achieved an 85% average in their previous studies.
· BUPA Study Support Grant for OSHC: An amount of AU$530 grant is paid to cover the first year of OSHC for successful candidates. The student must be commencing an undergraduate or postgraduate course at Deakin University in Trimester. Applications are measured based on academic performances of the applicants. There a limited number of scholarships available consequently is very competitive.
· Global Leaders Scholarship: International student enrolled in the Master of Business Administration of Deakin University may be eligible for 20% contribution scholarship towards his/her tuition fees. The scholarships are awarded on merit; hence students are required to provide evidence of high achieving academic records.
· Dimension Data Scholarship: International Master Students of Deakin University may be eligible to apply for this scholarship. An amount of AU$25,000 cash is awarded to enrolled student in the Master of Business Analytics of the University. This is a merit based scholarship awarded to candidates that have a minimum Weighted Average Mark (WAM) of 65 in their undergraduate degree. The award is only available to one outstanding student.
· Business Bursaries for International VCE students: 10% contribution of tuition fees are awarded to commencing international students who are enrolled VCE in Australia or offshore. Eligible applicants must be enrolled in the Bachelor of Business (Sport Management), Bachelor of Commerce or Bachelor of Management. The duration of the scholarship runs for the period of the course.
· MBA (GMAT/GRE) Scholarship: International students enrolled in the Master of Business Administration can be eligible for 20% scholarship for contribution to their tuition fees. This is subject to demonstrating high academic records.
· Deakin College Jakarta Bursary: International student from Deakin College Jakarta that has completed his/her Diploma program and has been accepted for entry into the second year of his/her Deakin degree. The scholarship is open to eligible students enrolled in Deakin Business and Law Schools. The scholarship provides the eligible recipient with 10% contribution towards the tuition fees for the duration of the respective course.
