RMIT University

RMIT offers a range of scholarships for its international students of undergraduate and postgraduate levels.

 

Undergraduate Coursework

·         International Development Scholarship for student from the Philippines, Myanmar, Laos, Cambodia or Vietnam:  there are 10 scholarships available for these students with the value of AU$5,000 each to be paid towards tuition fees of the recipients. Eligible students are required to demonstrate excellence in their current or previous qualifications along with leadership potential and abilities to act as an ambassador for RMIT.

 

·         Global Futures Scholarship for international students currently onshore in Australia applying direct to RMIT: onshore international students may be eligible to be awarded an amount of AU$5,000 to as contribution towards their tuition fees for the coming semester. Eligible recipients are required to demonstrate excellence academic records.

 

·         School of Civil, Environmental and Chemical Engineering Academic Merit Scholarship: the scholarship is also open to international students that have achieved excellence year 12 results with an Australian Tertiary Admission Rank (ATAR). Eligible students are required to be enrolled in the University’s’ School of Civil, Environment and Chemical Engineering to be awarded an amount of AU$5,000 worth in scholarship for one year.

 

·         Science, Engineering and Health Scholarships for Indian students: there are a limited number of scholarships available each year for Indian students enrolled in undergraduate degree program at RMIT’s College of Science, Engineering and Health. The award is contributed towards the recipients’ tuition fees.  The scholarship will be AU$5,000 in value awarded per academic year over the duration of the undergraduate program.  

 

·         International Cost of Living Scholarships: Onshore international students wishing to apply to directly to RMIT for undergraduate or postgraduate programs may be eligible for the scholarship. An amount of AU$2,000 scholarship is awarded as a one off payment towards the recipients costs of living. Eligible candidates are required to provide evidence of obtaining a minimum grade of 65% in their previous studies.

 

·         International Excellence Scholarship for Latin America:  the scholarship is open to students from Latin America, commencing their studies in RMIT. A total value of AU$5,000 will be awarded for eligible recipients on first year of their studies.

 

·         International Partnership Scholarship – Year 12: there are 6 scholarships available for international students that are currently completing their Year 12 in Australian high schools. An amount of Au$4,000 is contributed towards the tuition fees of eligible recipients. This is a merit based scholarship awarded to candidates wishing to apply for undergraduate program of RMIT, and have demonstrated excellence in current/previous qualifications.

 

·         International Partnership Scholarship – China: the scholarship is open to students of mainland China applying from overseas for postgraduate programs of RMIT. 5 scholarships of AU$ 5,000 in value are awarded to eligible recipients that are able to demonstrate excellence in their current/previous qualifications. The award is paid as one-off payment towards recipients’ tuition fees.

 

·         International Partnership Scholarship – Australia: 10 scholarships of AU$5,000 each are available for international students willing to enroll in an undereducated or postgraduate program of RMIT. Students may be eligible to apply if demonstrate excellence in their current/ previous qualifications and have leadership potential and willingness to act as an ambassador for RMIT. The award is offered as a one-off payment towards recipients’ tuition fees.

 

Postgraduate Coursework

·         International Development Scholarship for student from the Philippines, Myanmar, Laos, Cambodia or Vietnam: there are 10 scholarships available for these students with the value of AU$5,000 each to be paid towards tuition fees of the recipients. ·         Malaysia Australia Colombo Plan Commemoration (MACC): an amount of AU$7,000 is offered towards the recipients tuition fees. There are 6 scholarships available for Malaysian students, commencing their Postgraduate program at RMIT. Candidates must satisfy the Academic and English proficiency requirements and have achieved excellence academic results.

 

·         Science, Engineering and Health Scholarships for Indian students: there are 30 scholarships available each year for Indian students enrolled in undergraduate degree program at RMIT’s College of Science, Engineering and Health. The award is contributed towards the recipients’ tuition fees.  The scholarship will be AU$10,000 in value awarded for maximum of two years.

 

·         Global Leaders Scholarships for Indian students: an amount of AU$10,000 is available for eligible Indian students. To be eligible, candidates are required to be enrolled in Master of Business Administration (MBA), Master of Business Administration (MBA) (Executive), Master of Business Information Technology and Master of Supply Chain and Logistics Management. The award is available for duration of the program for maximum of 10 scholars.

Research

·         International Development Scholarship for student from the Philippines, Myanmar, Laos, Cambodia or Vietnam: there are 10 scholarships available for these students with the value of AU$5,000 each to be paid towards tuition fees of the recipients. Eligible students are required to demonstrate excellence in their current or previous qualifications along with leadership potential and abilities to act as an ambassador for RMIT.

 

·         Victorian Latin American Doctoral Scholarships: there are 10 scholarships available for PhD candidates commencing research at Victorian university. An amount of AU$90,000 will be awarded to eligible candidates to cover their living expenses over three years and full fee waiver. Recipients are required to be citizens of Latin American Countries and provide evidence of English Language proficiency and be willing to be an ambassador for the Victoria Latin America Doctoral Scholarships.

 

·         International Postgraduate Research Scholarship (IPRS): IPRS are funded by Australian Government. The scholarship is open to international students willing to undertake their Higher Degree Research Program (Master of PhD) at RMIT. The award is offered on the basis of academic excellence and research potential. The grant provides tuition fees for a period of 3 years and Overseas Student Health Cover.

 

·         RMIT PhD International Scholarship (RPIS): the scholarship is open to international students undertaking a research Doctoral degree. The award is offered based on the academic excellence and research potential of the candidates. Eligible students will have their tuition fees for the standard duration of their research program covered. In addition the scholarship overs the costs of an Overseas Student Health Cover and stipend of AU$28,849.

 

·         Vice-Chancellor’s PhD Scholarship (VCPS): the scholarship is open to international students undertaking a research Doctoral degree. The award is offered based on the academic excellence and research potential of the candidates. Eligible students will be awarded a stipend of AU$41,150 per year, research support allowance of AU$5,000, a Higher Degree Research publication award of AU$10,000 and relocation allowance for the cost of relocating up to AU$515.
