University of Western Australia
University of Western Australia offers a number of scholarships for both international and domestic students. Below is a list of scholarships open to its international candidates.
· Honours Student Scholarships
o Buru Energy Scholarship for Women in Petroleum Geoscience: the scholarship is also open to international female students undertaking research and studies in petroleum geoscience. Eligible recipients will be awarded AU$10,000 paid in semester installments. The scholarships are awarded on the bases of academic achievements of applicants.
o Minerals Research Institute of Western Australia (WRIWA) Odwyn Jones Honours Scholarship: eligible international applicants are required to be an undergraduate student enrolled full time with Curtin University, Edith Cowan University, Murdoch University or the University of Western Australia. The scholarship is open to applicants that undertake their final year in Honours research project. An amount of AU$5,000 a year will be awarded to applicants.
o ReDiMED Honours Scholarship: the scholarship is open to eligible international students that undertake an honours course with a thesis related to exercise rehabilitation or workplace health within the School of Sport Science, Exercise and Health. An amount of AU$5,000 is awarded to eligible candidates based on their academic achievements and records.
· Postgraduate Coursework Scholarship
o Buru Energy Scholarship for Women in Petroleum Geoscience: the scholarship is also open to international female students undertaking research and studies in petroleum geoscience. Eligible recipients will be awarded AU$10,000 paid in semester installments.
o Elise and Jack Middleditch Postgraduate Coursework Scholarship: the award is only open to international students as a supplementary scholarship of Australia Awards Development Scholarship to undertake a master’s degree by coursework in the field of Public Health or Infectious Disease. An amount of AU$7,5000 is awarded per year to outstanding candidates
· Postgraduate Research Scholarship
o International Postgraduate Research Scholarship (IPRS) or Scholarship for International Research Fees (SIRF): the scholarships are open to outstanding international students enrolled in Postgraduate Research programs of the University. The award will cover the recipients’ tuition fees and health cover costs. Accordingly stipend and Operating Allowances will be paid accordingly for the duration of their courses.
