UTS
University of Technology Sydney (UTS) offers a range of scholarships for its international students of different levels.
Undergraduates
· ABRS National Taxonomy Research Student Travel Bursary: Maximum amount of AU$ 1,000 is awarded to Honours, Masters and PhD students in Australian institution to travel to national and international conferences relevant to both the student’s research program in taxonomy or systematics, and to the ABRS Research Priorities.
· Australia Awards Scholarship: these awards are funded by the Australian Government for international students of specific countries. The aim of these scholarships is to provide financial, academic and personal support for high achieving candidates to encourage them to undertake their studies and researches in Australia.
· BUiLD Travel Grants: high achieving students of UTS may be eligible to be awarded an amount of AU$5,000 to assist them to develop their global networks and gain an international perspective on global and social issues. It is required from the eligible recipients to be enrolled and active in the BUiLD program and have achieved a minimum GPA of 1.5.
· Brazil – Science without Borders Study Abroad and Exchange Scholarship Program: the scholarship is only open to Brazilian students. The scholarship is for duration of 12 months covering the costs of tuition and living expenses of the eligible candidates.
· Business Exchange Travel Grant: students that wish to go one exchange to again an international perspective on global business methods and practices may be eligible to apply for this scholarship. The scholarship is open to both undergraduate and postgraduate degree students, however candidates are required to have completed the core Business subjects and have achieved high scores in their studies. An amount of AU$500 is awarded for each semester.
· Business Honours Scholarships: an amount of AU$5,000 is awarded to high achieving students enrolled in Honours program as a full time student within the UTS Business School.
· China Australia Millennial Project (CAMP) Scholarship: the scholarship provides a maximum amount of AU$1,888 to students of Australia, China, Hong Kong, Macau or Taiwan.
· Engineering International Undergraduate Excellence Scholarship: the scholarship is open to commencing international students at undergraduate level for engineering programs (Bachelor of Engineering (Advanced) or Bachelor of Engineering (Advanced), Diploma in Professional Engineering Practice). Eligible applicants will receive AU$5,000 reduction of tuition fees for duration of one semester. The applications are assessed according to highest ranked students in their academic qualification.
· FEIT International Exchange Programs Student Grant: each semester two grants with the value of AU$1,500 is awarded to two outgoing exchange students in the faculty of Engineering and Information Technology.
· Global Exchange Scholarship: these scholarships are awarded based on merit and destination. It offers grants to assist students with the costs associated with going on exchange. Eligible recipients will receive AU$1000 for one semester.
· Information Technology Honours Scholarships: enrolled students in the Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Information Technology may be eligible for the scholarship. This scholarship awards the students with two installments of AU$1,500 throughout the Honours years. The grant is determined by ranking students on the basis of their academic performance.
· Information Technology International Undergraduate Excellence Scholarship: the scholarship is open to commencing international students at undergraduate level for engineering programs(Bachelor of Science in Information Technology, or Bachelor of Science in Information Technology Diploma in Information Technology Professional Practice). Eligible applicants will receive AU$5,000 reduction of tuition fees for duration of one semester. The applications are assessed according to highest ranked students in their academic qualification.
· Multidisciplinary Australian Danish Exchange Program (MADE) by the Opera House: the scholarship is open to Danish students of architecture, engineering and design in their second year of study. An amount of AU$6,000 will be awarded to eligible students to cover their costs associated with exchange program.
· Study Abroad Excellence Award: high achieving international students may be eligible to apply for this grant. The scholarship is offered to commencing international students enrolling in study abroad program. The value of each award is AU$2,000 to be credited towards the recipient first semester tuition fees.
· UTS: INSEARCH to UTS Scholarship: international students that have completed INSEARCH Diploma in Sydney, Australia and have obtained high academic records may be eligible for this scholarship. Recipients will receive 50% reduction in their tuition fees for the duration of their enrollment in their undergraduate courses.
· Undergraduate Academic Excellence Awards: the University awards commencing international students with AU$1000 scholarship to be credited towards their tuition fees. Eligible recipient is required to be enrolling in undergraduate coursework programs at UTS in Sydney and have excellence academic records.
Postgraduate coursework and research Scholarships
· Australia Awards Scholarships: these awards are funded by the Australian Government for international students of specific countries. The aim of these scholarships is to provide financial, academic and personal support for high achieving candidates to encourage them to undertake their studies and researches in Australia.
· Business Exchange Travel Grant: students that wish to go one exchange to again an international perspective on global business methods and practices may be eligible to apply for this scholarship. · COLFUTURO and UTS Master (Coursework) Scholarships- COLOMBIA: the scholarship is open to Colombian undergraduate professionals wishing to undertake postgraduate education in Australia.
· Endeavour Executive Fellowship: the scholarship is open to outstanding international applicants in business, industry, education or government to take 1-4 months of professional development in Australia. Each scholarship is AU$18,000 awarded to those that have been nominated by an Australian host organization. Endeavour Executive Fellowships are funded by Australian Government.
· Engineering (Management) Master Scholarship for Outstanding International Students: a maximum value of AU$5000 for duration of one semester. It is awarded to high achieving international postgraduate students of UTS Engineering Program (Master of Engineering Management or Master of Environmental Engineering Management).
· Engineering (Technical) Masters Scholarship for Outstanding International Students: a maximum value of AU$5000 for duration of one semester. It is awarded to high achieving international postgraduate students of UTS Engineering Program (Master of Engineering or Master of Engineering)).
· Fondro para el Desarrollo de Recursos Humanos (FiDERH) & UTS Grant – Mexico: the scholarship is only open to Mexican citizens who have applied for postgraduate program at UTS.
· Information Technology Masters Scholarship for Outstanding International Students: a maximum value of AU$5000 for duration of one semester. It is awarded to high achieving international postgraduate students of UTS Information Technology program (Master of Information Technology, Master of Information Technology (Extension), Master of Science in Internetworking, Master of Science in Internetworking (Extension)).
· International Academic Excellence Award: a maximum value of AU$5000 for duration of one semester. It is awarded to high achieving international students enrolled in postgraduate coursework programs.
· MBA Scholarship for Outstanding International Students (Commencing): high achieving international students that wish to commence their postgraduate studies in Master of Business Administration program (MBA) at UTS may be eligible for the scholarship. Each year 2 scholarships worth of AU$5,000 in value are awarded to students.
· MBA Scholarship for Outstanding International Students (Current): high achieving international students that are already studying for their postgraduate studies in Master of Business Administration program (MBA) at UTS may be eligible for the scholarship. Each year 6 scholarships worth of AU$2,000 in value are awarded to students, which is credited towards their tuition fees.
· Malaysia Australia Colombo Plan Commemoration Scholarship (MACC): the scholarship is open to Malaysian students undertaking their master’s degree by coursework in Communication, Education or International Studies at UTS.
· Peru-National Program of Scholarship and Education Loads (PRONABEC): the scholarship is offered by Peruvian Government to students of Peruvian nationality that undertake masters programs at UTS.
· Study Abroad Excellence Award: high achieving international students may be eligible to apply for this grant. The scholarship is offered to commencing international students enrolling in study abroad program. The value of each award is AU$2,000 to be credited towards the recipient first semester tuition fees.
· UTS Science Scholarship for Outstanding International Students (Germany): this is open to German students that have achieved high academic records in their studies. Eligible applicants are required to be enrolled for a Masters by coursework degree at UTS.
· UTS Science Scholarship for Outstanding International Students (Vietnam and India): this is open to Vietnamese and Indian students that have achieved high academic records in their studies. Eligible applicants are required to be enrolled for a Masters by coursework degree at UTS.
· International Postgraduate Research Scholarship (IPRS): these are Australian Government funded scholarships offered to outstanding international students that wish to undertake their researches in Australia. The award covers the tuition fees and costs of a standard Overseas Student Health Cover.
